thank you, Richard Baker

You know, even though I'm not incredibly enthusiastic about a number of the changes that seem to be coming down the pipe for 4e, I keep seeing one WotC staffer who's answering questions and providing a fair amount of information (I guess in the WotC forums, though I just read the news nuggets here). And it seems to me that he's doing what we all hoped WotC would start doing after the Dungeon/Dragon cancellation: communicating with fans.

So, if you ever stop by here, kudos, Mr. Baker, kudos.

So what your saying is that 'Rich Baker must not stop.'

Nay! He must be stopped!

But it's okay if they wait a while to stop him. :)

(but, yes: Rich Baker, you are a hoopy frood. Thank you!)

Not quite sure where that comes from. I was actually trying to say thank you, though I apologize if it came off as sarcastic. I think he's probably doing more than what's in his job description, and I appreciate the effort.

Don't worry about this freyar, they are making a joke about a recurring meme on the WoTC boards.

Poor Rich...

Scott Rouse became "The Rouse" and got his own reality TV show about D&D. Whereas Rich Baker became "no good" and "must be stopped". lol. At least he has a nickname and a catch phrase. I guess that means we care

Have you ever wondered why He Who Must Be Stopped must be stopped?

It is fear of his prowess. Were he allowed free reign over the design of Dungeons and Dragons, the free peoples of the boards would cry out in fear of his awesome might as he shaped game systems to his will, slicing unnecessary dross and winnowing the chaff of obligatory paperwork from the golden kernel of pure delight.

It would be a sight wonderful and terrible to behold, and it would kill us all.

That is why He Must Be Stopped.

So, no, no nickname -- just a religion and 6 part adventure path :)
