Thank You WOTC for continuing the Dungeons and Dragons legacy

I also would prefer to have the magazines to actually be in printed form. It is out of our hands. I am curious about if DDI will succeed as an alternative. Time will be the teller of that tale, i'm afraid

if you dont like the new rules, change them to your style of play.

You know, just because I did this by going to another rules system that allows me to pull from every edition of D&D, and my refusal to buy into 4E, does not in anyway mean I don't love D&D. It just means I don't like this version.

Plus, for me to change 4E into something I would want to play would take a LOT of work. So I'll just stay where I am and adapt the ideas from 4E I like, and keep on loving D&D my own way.

Too... much... positivity....

It hurts... so much...

Positivity? IIRC the OP called everyone's complaints about the changes irrelevant. In the process of explaining how much he doesn't like flame wars. I think the pain you're feeling could be an indication that you are allergic to unintentional irony. In any case, I'm glad that WotC still knows how to draw a DnD logo on it's products - here's to 30 more years of products with DnD logos on them! Having said that, I don't like flame wars either :D

I agree OP. I agree. We owe a lot to WotC, and to those gamers out there that are still rolling dice - irrespective of the system.

Never be embarrassed or ask for apologies for being positive, man. Here's hoping others jump aboard the Love Train.

You will want to go back and reread the OP then. Because he called the complaints about not getting their books irrelevant, not the complaints about the changes. A meaningful difference you blurred.

Add my thanks to the list. There are things about 4e that I love. There are things that make me scratch my head a bit.

But I love this game, and I love the fact that it's still in print and bringing in new players every day.

Cheers, WotC.

I couldnt agree more

I agree with you lancelot. it will continue for a long time. I hope that it stays successful for years to come.

If I may nitpick (and I certainly may!), the OP referred to the complaints about not getting their books as other irrelevant complaints, thus strongly implying that the first mentioned complaints about changes were also irrelevant. A meaningful word you skipped over.
