D&D 5E (2024) Thanks Everyone. Impact on Campaign.

Legend
Overvthe last year or so ive been asking advice on things about Netheril, suggest an adventure, bastions etc.

Basically over been brainstorming for a while and prepping since around December.

Act 1 (lvl 1-5) of my campaign s now complete. Act 2 is entering Anauroch and dealing eith the Shades/Netherils legacy.

Based on suggestions here ive gone back as far as 1E for source material and in game 2E for maps.

Based on suggestions I've Directly Used.

Kingmaker: Stolen Lands
Lost Library of Lethchauntos/Adventures in Faerun. Lvl 1-3
Candlekeep Mysteries lvl 3
Rime of the Frostmaiden lvl 4
Door to Everywhere Lvl 5.

Bastions are getting established. Vermillion (Candlekeep Mysteries) Desertmouth mountains, Olegs (Kingmaker near Tilverton), Portal network hub (Stonelands) and Library of Lethchauntos (Storm Horns).

They've secured the Stonelands since December. Cormyr has a new Baron. Each bastion essentially forms the borders. Stonelands west of Tilverton is their demesne.

This session a lot of foreshadowing has been paid off its like I planned things. The big mystery from level 1 has not been solved. Sandbox mode exploring Anauroch. 5 netherese factions plus Harper's, Zhents, PDKs try have been collecting reknown.

Act 2 will be using a lot of 2E and 3E material. Anyone got thoughts on the Shades, Anauroch and Aumvor, Ioulaum, Karsus, Terraseer and Larloch;). Asking for a friend.

I have not liked any of the time travel things I recently seen in the new books. I would rather find a way to bring them back to the present.

I like the idea of Karsus and some form of shadow or shard of him becoming a threat. The extent might depend on the party level. I'm not fond of a clone as that has been beaten to death in the Forgotten Realms (FR) unless it is the first clone and some sort of super-clone that the modern spell was based on.
