I don't think it's been brought up yet. Slap me if it has. But I don't remember anyone mentioning what the DM thinks of this idea. It could be crucial. I'm not saying that the DM will tell you "no, you can't attack the party," but a bigger concern is that if the DM is not inclined towards the idea ahead of time and it takes him by surprise as much as the party, he might not be inclined to rule in your favor when the chips are down. For instance, when you give the dwarf a potion of bestow curse, he might tell the dwarf to roll a Sense Motive check, just to be "fair," whereas if he were foretold of this event, he might decide that the dwarf has no reason to make a Sense Motive check and wouldn't remind him to do so unless the dwarf asked to make one. Little things like that could make a big difference, so I recommend checking with the DM, if you haven't already, and making sure he won't try to nerf this idea with unfavorable rulings. In fact, if he likes the idea, he might be inclined to make some favorable rulings for you, which never hurts. You're playing politics of course, but it is still something you should consider.
