D&D 5E Thanksgiving D&D Speculation thread.

I speculate that, despite the rumors, there will indeed be a Thanksgiving this year. I'm going out on a limb here...
After 2020, I wasn't so sure myself. (The old joke of the time traveler who dials in 2020 on his device, only for it to respond "Please select a valid year" comes to mind.) Around, this time last year, my mother passed away, so it was a very, very bad time for me.

Our Thanksgiving went very well - and we had a lot to be thankful for over the prior year - and we have a sweet potato casserole dish that I love - and you couldn't get me within 10' of sweet potatoes any other time of the year (it involves brown sugar & walnuts - no marshmallows).

My thought process is that we won't get any new announcements until February. I'm leaning heavily towards Spelljammer after that recent UA. I'm thinking they're going to do content around travelling around the Prime Material first, and then do Planescape.

I still have hopes we'll see Dark Sun, the presence of the thri-kreen in that last UA points to that possibility. (Yes, I know the thri-kreen appeared in a Spelljammer module, but they are not integral to the setting.)

The interesting part of all of this, they changed their wording for the third classic setting. It used to be "We will revisit a setting we've already done," to "we're releasing three classic settings." I may be off on the exact wording here. It seems there may not be an actual revisit in the plans. If they're not doing a revisit, then Spelljammer, Planescape, and Dark Sun could very well be in the cards for the rest of 2022 and into 2023.

An old setting making a cameo appearance is the wild card for me. I really thought it was going to be Spelljammer before that recent UA, but maybe it's Greyhawk?

As for Thanksgiving, my usual meal is lasagna, and it is always great!

BBQ is so much more about the seasoning and the sauce, than it is about the cooking. And the same for turkey. The right seasonings and sauces when cooked can make it better than chicken or pork or beef.
Find someone that really knows how to cook. Ask them to prepare a brisket, a pork shoulder, or a turkey with salt as the only seasoning. If that person knows what they are doing, you'll come back here and apologize.

The way you cook meat is far more important in the quality of the meal than a seasoning or sauce/gravy.

Did Florida Host the First Thanksgiving?

More than 50 years before the Pilgrims landed in Plymouth, Spanish colonists in Florida feasted with Native Americans in what some call the first Thanksgiving.

Any theory? A rerun of the 80's cartoon. Now they are too busy promoting Stryxhaven, and now teaser will be showed until the publishing of the last title. The twitter account shows some gifs from the cartoon, but technically now Disney in the copyright owner. Hasbro has to have noticed this brand is very powerful if decades after an action-live spot was produced in Brazil to promote the Renault Pathfinder. I don't know the partnership between Hasbro, Disney and Paramount but this will not want a change when the parntership 5 years deal ended.

A reboot of the cartoon? I would rather a sequel with the next generation.
