That Weekly (sort of) [Enterprise] Thread!

I'm enjoying the fact that they're getting the crap kicked out of them, but they're also proactive in solving the problem.

Perhaps the best character, other than Archer, is Lt. Reed. He's what a security officer should be, paranoid and aggressive.

However, the "Captain and (insert other crew member) get captured" scenario is getting old. The two (woo-hoo TWO) new episodes next week look great.

All I can say is that Enterprise is arguably the best first season of any of the Star Trek TV ventures.

Did anyone else find the CGI in this episode seemed pretty poorly done? Like it was rushed or something - just not up to previous Enterprise episodes. I didn't care for the alien at all. The characterization was good but that alien was just stupid looking IMHO.

I have the previous week's episode on tape (the one with Dean Stockwell) but haven't watched it yet - this being my day off and all, now I can.

Last week's was pretty good. It contributes to the overall plot of season 1.

Oh, and Malcolm wanting to use the force field without care to the creature's well-being was great. Although I would have preferred Reed to have said.

"Fine Doctor, could you go over there and get me a phase-transducer thingy?"

And at that point, Malcolm should have set phasers to fun and knocked out Phlox. :)

But that's just me.

While I missed the first 5-10 minutes of the show, I really liked what I got to see. I liked that they took Archer and Tucker out of the action and had all of the rest of the characters get a chance to shine, especially the navigator (can't remember his name) when he got to negoatiate because no one else was on the bridge. I'm really starting to like this show a lot.

My theory is that anyone who even argues this doesn't realize how much first season TOS, TNG, DS9, and VOY sucked.

Of course, 2nd-6th season DS9 was the best Trek ever...

I forgot about Ensign Merriweather's diplomacy with the aliens.

Quite funny. It reminded me of some of my games.

Merriweather didn't have many ranks of Diplomacy, but by virtue of a high Cha score, he made the check anyway :)
