The 1E Hierophant (Unearthed Arcana)

I never had any interest in this back in the 1e days, but has anyone tried to convert this concept into a prestige class? (I know about the hierophant in the DMG, and I realize that some of these abilities were made high-level druid abilities.)

I could envision taking some of these ideas and developing a 5-level, maybe epic, prestige class focused on traveling to and summoning creatures from the inner planes.

This is exactly the reason I am asking this question here.

Though my prestige classes tend to be flavored specifically for my homebrew setting (as I believe all PrCs should be).
