The 30 book and only 30 book challlenge

Hey by the time 2nd Edition finished its run I had almost every book that TSR/WotC had put out for it. I still remember going to a game session with two huge gymn bags full of books. That was before I realized that I didn't need 90% of my books at each session.

Uh, actually, the original post didn't say "d20" - it said "D&D". I think he meant all D&D books of any edition...

Which would put me in a bit of trouble, since I have more than 30 FR books - that I use often.

My 30 books that I'd choose to keep:
1) 3.5 PHB
2) 3.0 DMG
3) 3.5 MM
4) MM2
5) FF
6) Monsters of Faerun
7) Tome of Horrors
8) FRCS
9) City of Splendors box
10) Ruins of Undermountain
11) Volo's Guide to the Dales
12) Volo's Guide to Cormyr
13) Volo's Guide to Sword Coast
14) The North box
15) Empires of the Shining Sea box
16) Lands of Intrigue box
17) Vilhon Reach accessory
18) FR9 Bloodstone Lands
19) FR10 Old Empires
20) FR13 Anauroch
21) FR16 Shining South
22) Unapproachable East
23) Faiths & Avatars
24) Powers & Pantheons
25) Demihuman Deities
26) Oriental Adventures (3e)
27) Spelljammer Campaign Setting box
28) Manual of the Planes (3e)
29) Al-Qadim Campaign Setting box
30) Underdark

I think the first post cheats quite a bit, with a bunch of compilations that don't exist. Bad form! ;)

30 D&D books? Dude, that's my entire D&D library and then some. It's better I don't make a list, I wouldn't like having to put the Hero Builder Handbook there.

30 is a lot of book. I don't even own 30 d20 books.

1. 3.5 PHB
2. 3.5 DMG
3. 3.5 MM
4. MM II
5. Tome of Horrors
6. Artificer's Handbook
7. Bluffside: City on the Edge
8. 2nd ed. Al-Qadim book
9. 2nd ed. Masque of the Red Death - Gothic Earth Ravenloft
10. Manual of the Planes

That's really it. There's a ton of information in those books. Those 10 could alone keep me busy for years and years and years.

Thirty?

I've been playing D&D in various forms and editions since 1980, and I don't think I own 30 D&D/AD&D books.

Thirty books? That's no limit at all.

Only 30? :D

Unless it's me.

And yes it's silly to get The Complete BoEM book and NOT get Book of Fiends as well. But hey whatever. I know they are on my list.
