the 4 horsemen?

We all know their real names were Silas, Caspian, Methos, and Cronus.
I wondered if anyone would throw out a Highlander reference. Good call. :D

As for the 4 horsemen of the apocolypse, the biblical reference is Rev. 6:1-8.

First Seal/Horseman: White horse, rider with bow and crown, conquerer.

Second Seal/Horseman: Fiery red horse, rider takes peace from the earth (war), has a great sword.

Third Seal/Horseman: Black horse, rider with scales, scarcity of food, famine.

Fourth Seal/Horseman: Pale horse, rider's name is Death (not Clint Eastwood).

Then this is said of all four: "And power was given to them over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword, with hunger, with death, and by the beasts of the earth."

Maybe they will be statted in the new d20 biblical era game?

has anyone personified or statted these guys?

In my game I did with a twist. In my world, it has been divided by wall of magically bound elementals that seperate the good and the evil. On the evil side 4, good aligned people were trapped and for the next 2500 years survived and had a rain of terror over there. The four were Silas, Caspian, Methos, and Cronus.

I miss that show :(

That's why I have all 119 episodes. Maybe that needs to go in how are we geeks thread.

THey are slowly coming out on DVD with some good extra on there. First season so far, but it looks good. Plus it allowed me to give away the first season on VHS.

Had 'em for years in 1e...

They were just high-level npcs with a variety of curses or illusions that lent them the air of the supernatural.

The Four Horsemen

The DC Superhero game had the four horsemen. They were servants of Darkseid sent to the Earth to destroy it. Essentially, Darkseid empowered four normal humans into super-beings.

I agree that the biblical reference isn't clear. I have seen several different references as to who/what the four horsemen's names are.

Well, since we've veered into comics, Marvel also had its version of the four horsemen. They were servants of the supermutant, Apocalypse. Caliban (not ours! ;)) was War, and the X-Man Angel was transformed into Archangel to take on the role of Death. I don't recall the others, though. :p

We have 3 kids in our household...told my fiancee that if we get 4, we needed to get them each a T-Shirt.

Famine, Pestilence, War and Death....

She didn't think it was as funny as I did.

My DM has stated these things out as epic level mages carrying Gemmed staffs of Killing. Granting each of them a specific school of mastery. I don't know how but one of them throws 1080 point fireballs or insert any random element you want. Yeah that hurt.

Wolverine spent some time as Death, too, recently. Right before Apocalypse got himself dead finally.
