The Alignment Game

Definitely not TN, then. Keeping one's word requires getting off the fence.

This is a sidetrack, but AFAIK CN people can keep their own code and still be chaotic overall. As you describe Conan above he is CG, but a very brutal, non-exalted CG.

Deadpool is of questionable sanity because he thinks he's living in a comic (oh, Grant Morrison, you wacky fellow, you!) and his delusions are only mitigated by the fact that he is actually a comic character. As such, it's pretty hard to pin him down to an alignment, because alignment is based on what a character does when he is in full control of his faculties.

Samus Aran is LN, insofar as I can tell. She's an intergalactic bounty hunter who exterminates dangerous aliens because it's her job, but she isn't so heartless as to kill the last baby alien of a decimated race.

Sherlock Holmes
N(G).

He enjoys the thrill of the chase and the mental exercise of crime-solving; though he takes jobs and pursues the bad guys he does not do so because innocent people are being hurt. His abhorence of evil men does not mean that he is Good; nor does his knowledge that were he to turn his mind to evil he would be a very successful criminal. He does, at time, have some flashes of altruism, so Good tendencies.

He is willing to bend the law to achieve his ends; he is willing to conceal from police information if they are too proud to suit him. He does recognize the importance of law, and the danger the criminal element presents to society as a whole. Neither Lawful nor Chaotic.

Kerrigan, Queen of Blades (not to be confused with that warforged chump who claims a similiar title)

NE. She doesn't revel in chaos so much as in her newfound power; she also doesn't like chaos when she's in charge, but isn't so concerned with order and rules as to be LE.

Hal Jordan.

Hal Jordan.

Before or after he went bad?

I'd call Hal Neutral Good for most of his career. Contrast him to Green Arrow, who is (extremely) Chaotic Good. He's not willing to follow Ollie on all his eccentricities, but he's not one to follow or break rules just because they're rules. He's about helping people and doing the right thing, regardless of how he goes about it.

Obviously, when he went all Parallax and started killing people, he was pretty evil. I'd say CE.

As to the rest of the Corps I'm familiar with... hm. Killowog and John Stewart are LG, Kyle is also NG, and Guy is CG. Ganthet is probably LN, maybe LG. He's never seemed to have the empathy I would associate with Good, and is more concerned with order than other things. That's the point of the Corps, after all.

Sinestro is LE, sometimes sliding toward NE when he cares more about hurting Hal than he does imposing order on the universe.
