D&D 5E The Aloii race

My current character is an Aloii, so i wanted to do some research on how an Aloii would behave and what special abilities I would get, but theres a problem. After googling Aloii dnd, there's only one page that comes up that's relevant to what i'm looking for. I was wondering what book the Aloii race is from.

My DM however, says that Aloii's are actually a fairly commonly played race. I was wondering if this is true, and what book the Aloii race is from.

I've been gaming for over 30 years and I've never seen them played by anyone outside of one D20 Terminator game. And that wasn't even the Aloii specifically, just a "race" very similar to them.

Is the race you are referring to the liquid metal number-as-name race found here? If so, it's a homebrew and hasn't been published anywhere.
