The Angelfire Mini I really really want

Irresistable indeed!

I'm hoping to get a Trumpet Archon, myself, although I can't imagine I would ever have a use for it in my game.

Who can resist the cuddly axe-wielding Werebear?

LOL. I think it looks pretty cheesy actually. It looks like a big teddy bear - not scary at all! :p

While the quality is definitely getting better, I'm not sure there are a lot of minis in this set I want. I like the devils (hezrou, barbed devil, chain devil), the ogre mage, pegasus, and dire wolverine but that's about it.

The Hezrou, aka the Slaad impersonator. The sculpting on that one is just cool. Big, nasty and has a sense of muscular physicality. Everything the efreet mini isn't.

A close second is the mounted paladin, and third is the Djinni.

Added: Oooo, nearly forgot. On the subject of the Werebear it looks a lot nicer (as a mini) that the previous werebear mini WotC released. Reminds me of the Furbolgs from World of Warcraft.

Des Hanley, who drew the Mounted Paladin sketch, is left-handed (and bald). This explains many of his minis - but he's a great guy and a very good artist.

I managed to get the Ogre Mage, Mounted Paladin and Large Copper Dragon in my first seven boosters. (Yay!) There are a few real surprises in Angelfire - it really strikes me as a great set.

Cheers!

After 2 cases, just missing Ulmo Lightbringer, Archmage, Chain Devil, Ogre Mage, and the Orc Wolf Shaman. Got dupes on the Mounted Paladin, Stone Giant, Djinni, Large Copper Dragon, and the Red Slaad.
