The Back Room

Morvannon blinks at the newcomers. *Interesting perspective from the cleric there, but he would be useful...*

"Your cause does seem to be a popular one all of a sudden, Reggie. I think we'll be able to assemble a potent team. Might I see one of those contracts?"

[sblock="OOC"]By my count we have two warlocks, two wizards, one ranger, one fighter, and one cleric. Is that going to be too big of a party?[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]Since I'll be reading along anyway, I might as well volunteer to judge this adventure. (Once it gets underway, I guess.)

Also, while I'm here, I just wanted to let 'yall know that there is another short adventure approved, the DM is just waiting for enough characters. There's also at least two more characters who've been submitted for approval who haven't shown up in the tavern yet.

Basically what I'm saying is that if you don't all get in on this adventure, there should be another one kicking off soon-ish.

Happy gaming![/sblock]

Magnus thumped his staff against the floor, setting the keys to jingling.

I have followed the crooked path of Her will and She has delivered me to you who bear my previous master Dorian's work, the dwarf's eyes shine with a fervor as he says this.

Then with his finger he made a swirling motion, all things come back around eventually...all things. Hehehe.

He indicated the papers with a thrust of his finger, minor details, eddies in a larger current, if my mark is all you require then you have it.

With that the dwarf leaned back in his seat, muttering to no one in particular, yes....very interesting, now what will he say I wonder?

[sblock=OOC to all]Alrighty Roo! So here's how we stand (as RBJim stated): 2 warlocks, 2 wizards, 1 ranger, 1 fighter, 1 cleric. I realize that we've hit 7, because I keep inviting people into the pool... but I wanted the party to have a leader and a scout to choose from (otherwise, I would've had to take liberties with Magnus so he could be the healer)

I've been looking over everyone's characters & skills, and have some recommendations:
Tristan- Well... he's a given, isn't he.
Kamotz- Again... it's probably a good idea to have him on board.
Mikara- She doesn't have large weapons, but she has an excellent Perception & Stealth... y'all may want a scout
Morvannon- One of the 2 warlocks. His biggest selling point is Streetwise, I didn't see that anyone else has that skill.
Haruka- The other warlock is a solid character, with a great back story for this adventure... but she wouldn't necesarily fill a missing role or skill.
Vashik- One of the 2 wizards, with Jack of All Trades & a lot of skill choices he might make a difference in a missed skill challenge... plus I know that he has PbP experience as my character has quested with Vashik in the past.
Magnus- Last (but not least) the second wizard... I was prepping for him to fill the role of "leader" (and he could still work as a secondary) for the group. He also has strong skills (though not as strong as Vashik), and I've already started laying the groundwork to tie him in to the story. He should be very interesting for RP purposes, but could also be challenging as well...

Those are the 7 candidates we are considering. I have made my notes/recommendations... but I'll give you guys the final word since it is your party.

I don't mind taking all 7 (if the judges are okay with it), but it will make the game slower for us all. Also, there is another adventure that has been approved... the DM is just waiting to have enough bodies in the tavern to begin, so I'd hate to prevent him from getting of the ground.[/sblock]

Magnus does make up for his faults a little bit, by being a little more durable as well.

Haruka stands up and bows slightly to Reggie.

“You seem to be in excellent hands. I wish you the best of luck, and may your property be returned to you in an expedient manner.”

With that she walks out the door and back into the tavern proper.

[sblock=OOC]Well, I said I'd leave if it got unmanageable. Would be sort of dirty of me not to follow through. Also, no point in leaving the other adventure short-staffed.[/sblock]

Kamotz uses his passive perception 15 and insight 19 to begin sizing up the group, trying to discern as much as possible about each individual.

Those signing contracts, if I may have your names for my notes? I will do my best to keep you alive long enough to complete our contract. If it is your time, I won't step in the way of Death embracing you. Rest assured, I will not leave you to your enemies, or allow you to become undead. If you won't give me your name, please give me your final resting place, so that I may take you there if the need arises. I'd like to see as much death as possible throughout the fulfillment of our obligation, if you plan on killing, inform me so that I may witness the act.

[sblock=OOC]Big applause to Haruka for being so sociable and stepping out, not required but shows alot about your "character" (pun intended). [/sblock]

[sblock=ooc] Well as much as I'd love to see how you run the show sea painter I'm the other double and I don't mind bowing out. For the good of the board!! Or some such altruistic nonesense. In reality I just know iif I go we can all play sooner. Have a good one guys I'll follow along and see how it looks.[/sblock]

When Reggie seems reluctant to hand over one of the 5 contracts in his hand, Vashik's face twists into a snarl.

Damn you for a fool! Let these novices retrieve your precious ring. I have no time for a commander without vision and firtmness of purpose.

The door slams as Vashik strides back into the main room.

[sblock=ooc] Its fun but sometimes I almost feel bad playing a prick lol[/sblock]

Tristan is slightly taken aback at Vashik's violent exit, but quickly regains his composure. He considers Reggie's offer for a moment before shrugging to himself.

"Very well. My name is Tristan. Tristan e'Ransiel. I will wait to hear what you have to say before I agree to undertake your mission, but I will sign a document promising my discretion."
