I dropped the current vote into excel and sorted them, and I was nodding my heads at the results. Even titles I don't care much for (Psychic's Handbook) I can see why they were there.

But why Book of Iron Might. My experience with it was "neat idea, a bit too hard to use in play." Have people out there actually been using it? So, folks who voted for it, give me your impressions.

I chose it, because I like the maneuver system and the inclusion of rules for building new maneuvers. I consider it vastly superior to TOB which is both mechanically and aesthetically horribly implemented- at least for what my friends and I were looking over.

Im afraid my choices are more based on what I bought than knowledge of all the books listed.

I only had experiance with 6 of them. I thought only 2 were poor, and one that I borrowed from a friend (for 1 session) was perfect at the time, but I am not sure about the bulk of the book.

Tournaments and Fairs (ENP) was exactly what I needed, and with <15 min prep I ran a fighitng tournament sponsored (to my suprise) by the party.

Because it contains more than just the manoeuvres. I like the manoeuvres as a reader, not in a game, so... they're more of a "toolbox" I can use for monsters. Furthermore, the feats were pretty interesting. Not the best, mind you, but very interesting and helped to close the "arcane fighter" gap without going the PrC route. And the scaling feats were also quite neat and allowed one of my players to go without armour - which is certainly a nice accomplishment.

It's one of the books that never shine, but you often slip it some stuff from it into your games, hence it still deserves being seen as "good" - even if it's unobtrusive.

Well, at least that's my stance on it.

Cheers, LT.
