The Captain's Caper! (Dunamin judging)

[sblock=ooc]I was thinking that we might do it with some luck after all (luck being, the dragon not recharging darkness and breath too often); we ate about 1/4 of the dragon's hp I think, and Hrav's piercing strike should hit fairly often with flanking. Quagmire should hit easily with furious smash(black dragons' fort is fairly low) to help Hrav and maybe Alex hit. Reflex is not so low but Girth can maybe try to use stealth and hide behind cover...
This round everyone rolled pretty low except me, but maybe we'll do it, c'mon!

-Quagmire moves forward and strikes at the dragon but can't pierce her defenses. The beast slashes her tail at him in contempt, hitting him for 10 damage and pushing him back slightly. After shifting back near her, he tries again, but again she dodges to fast. He does feel the grip of his fear leave him though and knows his strikes will be faster from then on for having overcome it. (Took away the second tail slash, but she still hits with the first one barely even with the -2 penalty from Combat Challenge. Alex gets a free basic attack at that point as an immediate interrupt.)

-Girth blasts the dragon with starlight and sees her shudder in pain. (13 damage. Moved him to M23 because M24 would have been 7 squares of movement and his speed is 6.)

-Hrav moves in to flank the dragon and strike at her. His first attempt is blocked by her diamond hard scales, but his second strike finds a soft spot that she can't dodge from as his weapon slides into her flesh with a groan from the beast. (17 damage. +4 HP from using AP. P17 would be flanking with Alex, not Quagmire as you said in your post. Did you mean P18 or P17?)

-Alex summons all his might and strikes the wyrm successfully twice! She roars in anger and he feels his fighting spirit rise at the sound. (29 damage total)

-Kartharath screams her anger and goes on the defensive. Belching out another cloud of darkness around her and the party, she blots out the weak sunlight and returns you all to darkness. The only good thing is that she doesn't time to attack anyone while spreading the inky cloud of darkness around. The last thing you see is the dragon turning her angry gaze upon Alexander.

-Alex gets a free basic attack due to her attacking Quagmire with her tail slash. Then Quag, Girth, Hrav, and Alex again.

[sblock=Round 4 - Init/Status]19- Alex / hp 26/41, ongoing 5 acid damage(save ends), regen 4hp at start of any turn when he's bloodied.
29- Kartharath / hp -75
29- Quagmire / hp 8/31
20- Girth / hp 28/35, concealment till end of his next turn
18- Hrav / hp 20/31

OOC: Yep, I see that now. Sorry for the mix up on my part. I'll go make corrections...

OOC2: Okay, tookaway the extra two tail slashes and I need a free basic attack from Alex against the dragon from before the cloud of darkness was up.

OOC: Hrav will have moved to P18 to flank with Quag (just saw the letter next to the dragon and said the square opposite last time). If Quag doesn't want to move, I'll shift to P17 to set up flanking with Alex using the Covering Attack shift.

[sblock=garyh]the dragon has the cloud of darkness around it, so it's probably a better idea to use the 2 squares of free movement to get away, then on Hrav's turn get behing cover, try to get CA using stealth, and attack from range till the dragon comes out of the darkness. I think Alex will use the same tactics as before: get away, and ready to charge as soon as Kartharath comes out of the dark. Trying to fight it with a -5 penalty doesn't seem a great idea.[/sblock]

OOC: Good point. Make it that Hrav shifts from P18 to R20.
