The Captain's Caper! (Dunamin judging)

[sblock=Pirate Luv]Sailor: "It's all right, Captain. We always knew you were a whoopsie."
Captain Shakespeare: "Arrr!"[/sblock]

ooc: Quagmire will spend 2 surges to get to full. He's out of Inspiring Words at the moment, but if we can get two short rests or more, he'll use them on Alex and Hrav as needed.

ooc:no need for an inspiring word on Alex. He'll just send two surges and be back at full hp (and then some)

Girth stared, horrified, at the surface of the water, willing the last goblin to reappear to face his attackers. After a few moments, when the lily-livered, faint-hearted, yellow-striped coward failed to appear, Girth screamed his anger to the heavens and started pounding the sea with eldritch fury.

Even the sky darkened with his fury, the sailors nearby winced and cowered as his powers swept the ocean waves. Dead fish floated to the surface but the goblin was never seen again.

Eventually the warlock's voice gave way, his arms ached, and he coughed with the after-effect of exposure to too much ozone (an eldritch word meaning 'empty air' i.e. 'air one cannot breath'.)

OOC: I'll be on vacation and away from the internet for a week, and should be back to posting on 3/15. Have fun, folks! Don't wrap the adventure up without me. :)

OOC: My apologies once more. Just started a new work schedule this week and getting used to the times I've got available to post. That and car trouble I've been having to fix have kept me away mostly. Hang in there. We're in the home stretch now. ;)

Captain Azrael cheers for your victory and smiles all the wider when he sees that the storm which has been blowing hard is just about to pass by and disappear finally. Not having enough crew to man both ships, he reluctantly gives the order to lash the ships together and transfer the cargo from the goblin ship over to the Bloody Wake. The crew scrambles and manages to complete the task quicker than expected under a clearing sky. "Now that we got me cargo back, I can make the delivery meself and still turn a profit on this business gone foul. Set sail, matey's! We go north, towards Kythira!"

Oh, Kythira? I heard about it. It's supposed to be quite the crazy place, ain't it? comments Alexander Too bad about that ship, though. Seemed nice 'nough. Though not a beauty like our Bloody Wake, right, capt'n? he says, with a cheerful slap on the mast's timber.

[sblock=ooc]whoa, Azrael actually abandoned the ship? Now he's really pushing us into it! :D
Kythira huh? Nice![/sblock]

"Crazy Kythera? Ha! Just right place for us." Girth chuckled before wiping his hands down his flanks to clean them.

"Drink now, Alexander? To dead enemies, we toast. Is correct, yes? We finish them. We start next ones?" His grin grew wider and a darkness grew in his eyes - a deep blackness that smacked of eternal suffering.

Let's drink, buddy, aye! Though, I'd prefer to think of more cheerful things than some goblins under the sea while getting drunk! answered Alex with a somewhat moderated enthusiasm...

[sblock=Magic item wishlists]Hey all, I've already got the wishlists of items for Alex and Hrav. If you want to put in a wishlist for Girth or Quagmire, now is the time. Or you can be happy with surprises. Whichever. :D[/sblock]
"Aye, it be too bad we've not got enough crew ta be takin' that goblin ship as well. Probably a floating deathtrap anyway after being crewed by goblins. More'un likely sinkin as we speak." Captain Azrael says while looking back at the goblin ship fading in the distance.
