Another thing I was wondering is if there will be some sort of tie-in with Adventurers' League storylines. Assuming that the movie takes place in the 5th edition post-Sundering world, what if it IS made a part of canon and that has some impact on how AL stories are written?
The MCU has had an effect on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so maybe we'll see a cross-media strategy for the direction that the Realms are taking.
