A clockwork skitterer is a miniature spiderlike construct. Totally mindless, it can do nothing but obey simple orders ( for example, "Bite him!" or "Come to me!" or "Run away!). It has a 6"- 10" across adamantine alloyed body on 5" - 7" legs. 25% of skitterers are assassin skitterers, with acid on their fangs.

COMBAT
No skitterer enters combat unless ordered to, not even to defend themselves. When ordered to attack, they simply bite each round until dead.
Acid (Ex): A successful bite attack from an assassin skitterer deals 1d4 additional acid damage.

CONSTRUCTION:

A 5th-level wizard is required. He must have a laboratory. He must expend 1,500 gp for the body, 500 gp for ritual components, and cast haste on the skitterer on the final day of a one-week ritual draining 100 XP. An assassin skitterer requires 200 additional XP, a two-week ritual, and two Melf's acid arrow spells on the final day (in addition to the haste ). The creator must cast the spells himself, though they may come from outside sources (such as scrolls or wands).

You use "cute" at rather inappropriate junctures, Krish. Somehow, I doubt that your first reaction to having a metal spider the size of a teacup perched on your face would be to go "Aww..." and scratch it on the thorax.
But then again, you never know.

Demiurge out.

You need to change the Wisdom of the skitterer to 11. Constructs always have no Con or Int, a Cha of 1 and a Wis of 11.

Just FYI...

Cheers!

Demiurge: I would, but then again, I'm not exactly 'normal' :p

Knightfall: Some constructs actually have an int score, they're few and far between, but they do exist, some even have higher Wis and Cha than what is normal for constructs. But in general, constructs are as you say. :D

Actually some species of spiders have a head that is seperate from it's thorax. The north african camel spider is one such arachnid. But then again, there is talk of movie arachids such as that to a seperate genus.

Anyways, the Wis should be 11, Cha 1.

Cha is now 11. Any other comments?

Um,... Cha 1, Wis 11 not the other way around.

Krish: Sure there are those few special construct types, I just meant in general.

Cheers!

p.s. I feel like designing today so expect updates to both of my threads, and if I fell like it I'll drop a critter into Kit's thread too. (Have to go and get my chocolate fix first.)
