Whoops, you're right about the HP. I'll fix that in the next update. And if I forget again, smack me with a noodle.

To be honest, I'd prefer to do without the extra +1 for posting quickly. I feel like it throws the balance of things off slightly, and I think our current pace is pretty reasonable. If we slow down, I'll be willing to reconsider.

Round 3, continued

Atreus lashes out with his sling again, catching another goblin a sharp blow, bloodying him. He creeps forward, ghostlike in the bushes. (ooc: Hit, 19 damage. G1 is bloodied. Atreus is hidden from all enemies.

Both goblins circle, firing javelins at Tander. Only one hits, and the wound is minor. (ooc: one hit, 6 damage)

Woe bleeds onto the long grass... (ooc: need a death save here.)

Neera mutters, "I just saved your life, you could at least ask. Jerk." But she kneels where Palindrome points, bracing herself. (ooc: I'll let you decide where she kneels. She has speed 6)

Palindrome and Tander are up

"Happy thoughts, Meathshield," says Palindrome in a jaunty tone, "Happy thoughts!"

He directs her to a location a few paces to his left [OOC: AK, -8] and climbs onto her back.

[OOC: Move Action. Balance check. (1d20+2=8)]

"What did I say about that wobbling?" he grumbles.

"Suck on this, ******," he says, firing a magic missile at an elven archer.

Palindrome blows a raspberry at the pointy-eared maggot. Then, he extends the Single Digit of Disapproval.

"Oh, and I almost forgot to add this..."

[OOC: Spend Action Point.]

A bright yellow sphere with an evil happy face appears beside Palindrome. The ball--screaming profanity--flies towards the elven archer.

"Oh, ***** me," groans Palindrome.

[OOC: Minor Action. Sustain Mage Hand.]

The mage hand gently slips the mirror back into Palindrome's pocket, then gives the wizard a sympathetic pat on the back.

Time slows down for Tander as the battle sours - he sees Woe fall to the ground in slow motion, and for a brief moment, everything just stops.

Time waits.

Tander's focus reaches a critical point, and he reaches within himself once more to revive Woe as he lies on the ground. His instinct to protect takes over completely, and he steps directly between Woe and the archers, preparing for the worst.

OOC: Healing word on Woe heals surge value plus an additional 6 hp. Tander moves one square east of Woe. Tander uses 2nd wind, healing to full and +2 defenses.

[sblock=Woe is me]Damn, those crazy tree-huggers are on a murder spree! Thanks for the help, nerdytenor.

What happens with Woe's place in initiative now that the combat sequence has moved on before he got to make a death saving throw? Has he lost his turn for round 3 or does it come up now?[/sblock]

[sblock=Woe is you]Woe had his turn as usual in round 3; it's just that he was unconscious and therefore couldn't take any actions except making a death save. Which I need, please. Initiative remains unchanged. [/sblock]

Round 3, continued

Despite Woe's steady trickle of blood, his condition does not worsen.

Palindrome stumbles a bit as he stands on Neera's back, but his spell flies true. One of the archers staggers. His second spell is less successful, hurtling into the sky, where it burst with a spectacular boom, harming no one. Palindrome's mage hand pats him on the back sadly. (ooc: MM hits, force orb misses. Archer 1 is bloodied.

Round 4

Tander's prayers restore Woe to consciousness, though he is still badly hurt. Tander then centers himself and stands over Woe protectively. (ooc: Woe heals 13 and is bloodied and prone. Tander heals 6 and is at full health with +2 to defenses 'tsnt)

The archers exchange places, one crossing in front of the other. The bleeding one turns his bow on Palindrome, again firing with pinpoint accuracy. The wizard falls unconscious for the second time. (ooc: Hit, 12 damage. Palindrome is dying again. :()

The second archer fires at Tander. At first it looks like the cleric's readied shield will stop the arrow, but a last second twist of the elf's fingers lifts the shot over the shield and into Tander's neck. (ooc: miss. Would have hit without second wind bonus. Reroll from Elven Accuracy... is a crit. *facepalm* I was going to use the original damage roll, too, which was 6, but instead it's 14 damage. Tander is bloodied.)

Atreus...

Atreus is worried for his comrades and hopes that he is able to take one of the archers and one of the goblins down this time. He had heard before that elven archers were good marksmen, but never had he thought that they would be so deadly with a bow. He loads his sling with a bullet and fires at the wounded Archer and quickly reloads it again and fires at the closest goblin.
