The Coils of Set - Thoughts?

Hey! Black Leaf is in here! She comes from a good family but "fell in with the wrong crowd" (it all started with dice games). Those wicked dice games! Parents should gather up all dice and burn them!

Still, the PCs will most likely face off against Black Leaf. I'll just DIE if they kill Black Leaf!! ;)

Humm...just looked at the blurb on the Kenzer site for this.....
1st-13th level huh?....
Might just have to pick this up, especially if it's easy to run in Eberron....

1-13th level in 80 pages? I doubt it. I read through this at lunch. There are three distinct adventures, one for levels 1-5, one for levels 6-10 and the last for levels 10-13. I did not get the impression that the encounters in each one were designed to have you gain 5 levels worth of XP. I sincerely think the module assumes you will be doing side quests in between these adventures.

There's no text stating such that I saw, but it looks like the PCs will level up 1, maybe 2 levels during a module, so jumping from one to the next with nothing between sounds unlikely.

Easy to fit in Eberron? Completely. Two small coastal cities and an isolated little valley? Could fit almost anywhere.

The first adventure should bring characters from level 1 to level 3, maybe on the way to 4

The second adventure can bring characters from 5 to level 9

The third adventure can bring characters from level 10 to level to 12 or over

This is without including random encounters

Yes indeed - that's the impression I got from the adventure.

You do Part 1 of the module, then a bunch of "other" stuff, then Part 2, a bunch of other stuff, and then finally Part 3.

I have a running theme of evil worshippers of a Reptile God in my homebrew camapign, this module sounds like it would fit in very well...

Some of the stuff about the serpent people, their worship of Yig and the Brotherhood of the Yellow Sign in the Freeport books might also be of use to you.

Cool, Yig is actually the deity I use IMC. Thanks. :)

Very well. As it is, the three adventures in here are all specifically linked, but they're also written to be played alone if need be, so you wouldn't be straightjacketed into a thread you didn't care for at the time. It's quite modular that way, and as I said previously, makes great use of lizard/snake-like things from Tome of Horrors 1 & 2.
