The Complete List of d20 Monster Books Updated 12/10/04

Just a quick correction for the first post - Nightmares & Dreams & Nightmares & Dreams II is Mystic Eye Games, not Mind's Eye Games.

What about those for d20 Modern? Machines and Mutants [S&S] and the Menace Manual [WoTC] are the only ones I know of. And wasn't there an alien collection for Star Wars?

I could list it next to Denizens of Avadnu in the same manner as the armies of the abyss is to the book of fiends, Though if you want it listed as a Pdf, I will list it the way you request it. As I love my Legends of Avadnu. Go Epic Levels!

I say list it whatever way you like. Heck its your list. :) Oh, and I'm glad you liked Legends of Avadnu. We have more Epic stuff in the works. . .

two more print ones

Munchkin Monster Manual (Steve Jackson Games)
Munchkin Monster Manual 2.5 (Steve Jackson Games)

An additional update.

Anyone have thier favorite, monster book?

I know I am still partial to the Monsternomicon, though I think legacy of the dragon was better mechaniclly

Thank you to phil reed for stopping in.

It is a great idea, with a long section 15:)

So would a book dedicated solely to discussing challenge rattings.

Or an update to the monster handbook by FFG

I'm working on something called The Beast Builder right now that should address some of those topics. It will deal with getting your numbers right, conceptulizing monsters, touch on CR (hard subject), and talk about how to build monsters from different approaches. Right now there will probably be a small section about monsters and ecologies, but I'm not sure about that one yet. Hopefully I have a draft ready by Feb for perhaps a March PDF release and printing (perhaps even in hardback?) a few months after that.

And seeing as how we're doing the Monster Geographica line, I'll have access to a lot of open source material. :) I'm toying with an index of the various abilities like phil mentioned... but man, that would take a lot of effort.

Just think what a great tool it would be, though.

Of course, using the tool would invoke the wrath of the section 15 from hell. But does anyone really give a damn if a product has a long section 15? Never bothers me.

I found a rather lengthy pdf (142 pages) on my HD with the following cover page:

Bestiary of the Realms:
Volume 1
by Eric L. Boyd and Thomas M. Costa
Art by Noëlle Triaureau (aughisky, cave fisher, cooshee, gaunt, greater raven, werefox,
finhead saurial, shoosuva) and Thomas M. Costa (campestri)

Does anyone have any idea where I might have found it? I don't visit the file trading sites (I have too much trouble with spyware as it is) so I know I downloaded it from someone's website.

If you look back a page, you'll see I posted a link to Eric Boyd's website, where that file is housed. There was a direct link to the file from the front page of EN World when it was initially announced.

Cheers
Nell.

Heh. Right now I've commited myself to the SRD material, but I'm still uncertain about anything else. I'm worried I may hit a serious point of diminishing returns in the effort.
