Lefty has been mocked his entire life for being a poor cook. His parents were killed by orcs leaving him alone on the city streets, where he was abused and mocked by street gangs, who made him steal stuff and cook for them. He eventually earned the grudging respect of the Night Shadow Gang, but as soon as he did so, the entire gang (except him) was killed by orcs.
