The Dance of Souls

Ah I see. Most likely you got the attention from those thugs due to these other dealings eh Tennar?

But I digress. Would you care for another drink Tennar. It will be on me.

Perhaps we should discuss now what I came to talk to you about in the first place. Would mind allowing me to see your records of things you have up for bid?

Banion will keep his attention primarilly on the red headed bar maid, trying to determine if she reacts to Officer Samuel in any way.

(First, some Knowledge checks:)
Gur, Sam:
[sblock]You have heard that Talon is often used in the names of thief guilds or other such organizations.[/sblock]
Beamer:
[sblock]You have the impression that you have heard the term Talon referring to some organization before, but you cannot quite place where.[/sblock]
Azaroth:
[sblock]You have heard that Talon is often used in the names of thief guilds or other such organizations.
You also heard some rumors of a secret organization called the Ashen Talon, infamous for big plots that inevitably go awry, and woefully inefficient. A few of the rumors sounded more like jokes, though.[/sblock]

Beamer said:
"Do you know anything about this Talon? Sounds like a good idea to avoid them while we're here. Where do they frequent? Or is it a secret organization?"
Not much more than I said. Well, they apparently managed to break into jail to kill a traitor, so they're likely well organized. Propably a group of thieves, guild or what they call it. Haven't advertised their presence beyond the attack on Tennar, though. Apparently quiet... workers." Janur literally spits out the last word. He raises his mug to wave Beamer goodby, and promises to hear around.

Beamer does manage to catch a few fragments of the conversation between the wolf and Samuel. Apparently, Samuel is supposed to get a detailed report on the activities of the Talon to Garum, before Samuel takes his extended leave he was promised tomorrow. Samuel assures Garum that the report will be ready on time. Despite Garum's reminder, it seems neither of them consider it very important.
You can, however, make out a few subtle quips the two make against each other. They hardly are on good terms with each other.

"I'm not at liberty to say anything about that, sorry."

But I digress. Would you care for another drink Tennar. It will be on me.
Tennar empties his mug of fireale, then says "Well, to make up for killing my game, another fireale would be nice. 'Tis 1 gold, if you don't know." He watches Azaroth's reaction to the price tag with interest.

"Not today, and I'm not normally in the habit of volunteering such information. I could show you around my warehouse tomorrow, but some areas will be off-limits."

Banion:
[sblock]You see the bar maid slightly nodding towards Samuel, but there seems no other reaction.[/sblock]

*Azaroth waves down the barmaid and orders another fire ale for tennar*

A tour of your warehouse would be most appreciated Tennar. Where is it and what time should I meet you?

Money: 71gp 3sp 90cp (-1 gold). 70gp 3sp 90cp

Beamer excuses himself from his current conversation. He then steps out back to the outhouse. He re-enters and approaches the bar. "Might I have a bit of porridge or oatmeal? Something warm in my stomach sounds excellent." After getting his bowl, he will sit by himself opposite the room from Banion and slowly take spoonfuls keeping an eye out for anything else unusual.

OOC: I think Beamer is out of things to do at the moment. It would be good if Airwhale and Rose Marie could chime in if there's anything they want to do. Xaov might also want to continue his conversation further.

"We can meet up here at the Scimitar tomorrow after lunch, and I'll lead you there. That ok?"

It is settled then I'll meet you here tomarrow after lunch. Around noon perhaps?

OOC: Well from what I have observed there isn't much else to talk of. I suppose I could speak to him about the Talon. But I have already pressed him for a good amount of info. If I maintain this pace. he might get suspicious. When I meet with him tomarrow I can talk to him about the talon.

(Besides, every day has an end, and that end may vary from person to person ;))

"I don't know about your customs, but I usually have lunch at noon. But shortly thereafter should do. Besides, it's getting late for me, and I've got to prepare some things still." Tennar gets up and says good-by, pays his tab and leaves.

The Scimitar quickly empties as night approaches. The group can see how Garum tells the orc to give out two stamps before they leave. Soon thereafter, Kenatur sends the group into their rooms so he can close off the common room, and you all have a restful, quiet night.

Azaroth-
[sblock]In the morning, you see that someone must have slipped a note under your door. I reads
"Look for rare art? Visit Skull at eve.
Fourdrinker"[/sblock]

Since it is early in the morning. Azaroth will go down and get something to eat.

Upon sitting down at a table he takes a look around to see if anyone is paying special attention to him.
