Yeah, but it's basically obsolete, like all big dish radio telescopes. It would be much better to use the money to updade the VLA in New Mexico. There's only X amount of funding to go around for the stuff, and frankly, it should be spent in the most useful way possible. Which would not be on it.

It's neat looking, though, maybe they can turn it into a giant skateboard park.

Looks like it getting replaced by Atacama Large Millimeter Array in Chile at the cost of $1 Billion in construction.
