My problem is that my acoustic engineering classes say this should fail from a design standpoint. The rear field distortion (caused by the wrap-around of the bass from a speaker) on this baby should mean this thing sounds like crap. 6000W is awesome, but if it sounds like two cups and a string, what's the point?

Won't it cause lots on Maximum and minimum points of amplitude (forgotten the correct terminology). Is that really a problem?

Precisely! Very nice. Not only that, but your frequency build-ups are going to cause a total harmonic distortion (Thd) well above the industry excepted standard of .05%, at least if they are going to be pushing the power that is supposed to be coming out of those blocks.
