I'm a lot more simple in what I'd like to see. I would LOVE to have those Bruce Heard Rakasta and Lupin articles. I tried to convert them once and my head spun. The art was great too, with all of the various breeds. The Scotty Dog Lupin was GREAT. :D

And let's not forget the Kercpa. I have a player that really wants to play his Kercpa again, and this gives him hope.

Well, twice in one A.M. that I have used these words, but:

Rock. On.

Am I getting excited about new prospects in gaming again? Yes, I think I am. :)

With the material coming from Paizo this summer / fall, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see them getting 2006 ENnies. The mockups of Shackled City were at Origins and are drop-dead gorgeous (and I already know the content is top-notch), and Erik told me about the Dragon comp being all updated material and I got giddy.

Its going to be a sweet year.

I am looking forward to seeing what makes the actual cut into this Compendium. I am thinking this will be another one that I pick up when it is released. I probably have most of these articles from the Dragon Archive CD-ROM, but there is something to be said for having them in paper format at my finger tips *and* updated to the current edition.

"Updated" to d20? I guess Mearls wants to be the Ted Turner of RPGs.

And you are the Ned Ludd. ;)

Heaven forbid that those of us who like some of the old material enjoy it in our games without doing the work ourselves.

Considering that you can still get the Dragon CD-Roms at many gaming stores, why bother re-issuing the material in a non-3.5 format?

If I want to read the original articles, I can either dig out the old Best of Dragons, or the original issues themselves, or put the CD in my drive. However, if I want to use this material in d20 games, I have to convert them all over.

Heck, I believe a majority of the old Best Ofs are still available through the Paizo store.
