OK, I just checked AP's schedule and see it's going to be repeated several times on Saturday and Sunday.

I saw it, and I was disappointed. The part about the prehistoric dragon did grab me, especially the parts where it was running from the larger male and the aerial fight, but after that it went downhill. It was just... boring. When the "making of" part came on, I just changed the channel.

Ditto for the IHOP ads, and Mo Rocca, too. I like both (well, I prefer Waffle House, but we don't get those in New England... *grumble*), but it was serious overexposure.

I enjoyed it. Got a little cheesy a few times, and I could have done without the "violence off camera" too. I grew up watching Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, where they showed all sorts of violence, so this would have felt more like a real documentary with that stuff included.

Makes me want to play a dragon slayer. I like the idea of a big-game hunter who knows everything about dragons and thrills at tracking them down.

And I grinned the first time the IHOP guy rolled down the stairs, but it after the 5th or 6th time it started to get on my nerves.

Just slap on the amphibious template and you get the aquatic. Throw wings on the rage drake from the MM III, and you get the mountain.

I find Mo Rocca irritating at BEST. He and Scott Ian Black (I think that's his name) are the reasons I can't stand to watch any VH1 "I Love..." show. I was all excited when "I Love the 80's" premiered a couple years back, but couldn't stomach those guys. I don't need them to comment on my misspent youth, when I can do it so much better myself.

Add me to the "disappointed" category. A lot of hype for not too much substance. The prehistoric segment was pretty cool, but neither the forest or aquatic dragons got enough screen time (and the off-screen tiger fight was just an excuse not to animate it...). And the mountain dragon segment was riddled with editing and continuity errors.

I was expecting another Walking with Dinosaurs, and was thus unimpressed.

Well I taped it. What bothered me was that at the end in the "Making of" part the guys are talking like its their idea. Dang I read this back in the 80s. From here:
