Okay, the sorceror in my group is a 6th level sorceror. If she stays Sor6 and takes 10 levels of Eldric Master she'll have 6th level spells. The list of bonus spells doesn't go up to 6th level so she'll know 1 6th level spell and cast it once per day right? What happens if she then takes sorceror from 17-18? Do those extra spell levels boost as well?

It's a confusing class if you do anything other then sor10, then Eld master 10.

Imagine an elven eldritch master who took two levels of arcane archer. Spell Dilletante (Harm) + Imbue Arrow + Manyshot feat = DAMN SKIPPY.

Unfortunately, the Arcane Archer's Imbue Arrow ability only works on area spells.

Has anyone recreated this using more "modern" terminology? IE, +1 spellcasting level instead of spell boosts and combined levels, etc.?

Lord Ben: Your Sor6/Eldritch Master10 would get the casting benefits of a Sor7 at the next level - 1 more spell known for levels 1-3, one more spell/day of levels 2 & 3, and of course caster level would be 17. The character would know 1 6th level spell and be able to cast it 1/day, correct.

Kai Lord: Hmm. "At 2nd level, an arcane archer gains this spell-like ability, allowing her to place an area spell upon an arrow." Seems pretty clear.

Yes it does. Its kind of hard to double check the DMG from work....

At least they can still do the cool trick of shooting a phased Fireball arrow into the kings's chamber from outside the castle walls.

Anything wrong with doing it this way?

Special
Detect Magic, +1 spellcasting level

True Spell (0th)

Metamagic feat, +1 spellcasting level

Spell Dilettante

True Spell (1st), +1 spellcasting level

Powerful Pressance, Metamagic feat, +1 spellcasting level

True Spell (2nd)

Knowing Stare, Spell Dilettante, +1 spellcasting level

Metamagic feat

Mastered Name, +1 spellcasting level

At level 20 (sor10/master10) you'll still have 8th level spells like before and it's more inline to the way they PrC's are currently written today.
