The Enclave

The priestly man leads you into the village and people come out of the huts and longhouses to greet you. Flowers are handed to you with brilliant and colorful blooms that have a sweet and heady perfumed aroma. Each of you are invited into huts to clean yourselves from your journey as well as your equipment. Smiling women lead you on your way. The guides from the Mari tribe are quite happy with their arrival here and assure you that all is well and to enjoy tonight.
The island you have come to is known as Il’Amani to its natives. Your guides call it The Enclave. It is located less than a day’s sail from the pirate city of Cliffport but is not harassed by the residents of that murderous city. The priest is the reason for all of this. He is a powerful sorceror in the words of the natives and your Mari guides. The pirates have attacked several times here in an effort to gain slaves. Some of those raids were led by magic wielders as well. In each instance, the priest of these people was able to thwart the raiders with his magic. It has been a dozen years now since the last raid. The pirates finally learned to look elsewhere for easier prey.
There are far more women than men on the island. You notice this early on and figured that the men were working the fields. That is not the case. Women make up 75% of the adult population. None of them seem shy around the newly found men on the island either. Even Theodus is attracting the attention of some of the shorter natives.
A feast is prepared with short notice and the pigs being roasted by the men in the center of the village are uncovered. The food is amazing. Especially given the meager rations and ship fare you have enjoyed for the past several weeks. There is roast pig, several fresh fruits literally just picked from the trees, a sticky rice dish with nuts and dried fruit pieces, roasted oysters, a salad made from succulent greens and a tart fruit thinly sliced and finally a bowl of shaved coconut mixed with sugar cane and baked until caramelized. You are able to gather the information above from the islanders around you quite readily.
The Mari guides seem to be speaking the truth about this place. It is a paradise for the enjoyment of the pleasures of the flesh. Each of the three guides seems determined to do just that to the best of their abilities with the 2 or 3 native women attending to them.

Ezieer is very excited to be around all the scantily clad island women... a topic of desire he has been expressing for weeks now. He is presently trying to forget how and why he is here in the first place... entranced by the women and sated by the exotic food.

"Ah... a sailors dream come true... methinks this be better than being captured by sirens."

Unarmored, and dressed in his normal clothes of Mittendien fashion, Walfilbalf sits on the floor of the hut, his huge round face blushed, as a young native girl massages his shoulders.

He chuckles uncomfortably, "Well, 'ey sure are friendly 'ere, ain't they?"

Walfilbalf, picks up a small greenish-brown fruit from a nearbye bowl, and takes a bite out of it, "Doubt we'll be met so nice in 'at pirate city, eh?"

"Certainly not... and certainly not for free... payment including yer life I imagine."

He looks around to the lovely bastion of female islanders.

"No wonder the Pirates wanted to come here... the lot o' dem be fools. All they had to do was be nice. Werked fer us."

Walfilbalf laughs, "Well, sure. An' if they wen' out an' worked fer a livin', like decent folks, they wouldn' be pirates, now would dey?"

He glances, somewhat uncomfortably, over his shoulder at the young lady massaging his shoulders, "Still, might be a bit too friendly round dese parts, if'n ye ask me. Ain' 'proper' as me Aunty would say. Ain' no better'n dey ought ta be."

Theodus enjoys carousing and merry-making as much as the next bard, but still has some dwarven hard-headedness to work out. He enjoys the islanders' hospitality, though he quietly incants some prestidigitation verses to make the sweetest food more palatable to his dwarvish tongue. He keeps his weapons and shield stowed and off to the side somewhere, but never leaves them too far out of reach. He voices some quiet concerns to Azeem and the rest, finding the islander behavior suspicious, but figures it may just be that the islanders want something out of his group. Nonetheless, he enjoys himself for now, but keeps in the company of his adventuring companions whenever possible, and partakes of nothing more carnal than eating, drinking, and dancing. While he's quite handsome and spontaneous as dwarves go, Theodus answers any queries from his companions with 'Dwarves ain't be sirin' stinking halfbloods all o'er wi' every pretty lass in sight like them grabby, grubby sharpears do', referring to elves of course.

"Yer aint doin the math right Walfi... course da ladies round here are friendly... dey outnumber the men by another women or two looks like. Male attentions being divided and all... means we are like treasure that washed up on the beach. And I ain't mindin that not at all... not all all I says."

It seems that Ezieer can't be talked into being cautious or ceasing any revelry at this point.

Walfilbalf chuckles at the boy's enthusiasm for the island women's company, shaking his head with amusement.

"Well, I gots ta say, when I first saw our islander guides eyes twinklin' an' all, thinkin' bout comin' 'ere, I thought they had some sorta plan ta 'ave us do sumpin' fer dem, like killin' er such. But I guess now 'ey were jus' lookin' forward ta seein' da ladies 'ere."

He shrugs, "I guess I'm jus' used ta gettin' asked ta do jobs an' such fer folks. Not that it bothers me, much. I done alright, an' I like helpin' folks."

Azeem Razuddi

Azeem uses this time of apparent rest to get back to what he really enjoys, playing for an adoring crowd. He plays many songs on his Lute as the large number of island women go about him. He takes Theodus's unease with a shrug and continues his impromptu concert for quite some time, not noticing much else but the good food, wonderful women, and the music flowing from his own insturment.

"Doin jobs is pretty good... if dere is something in it fer at least one o' the parties... preferrably both. Most people been pretty happy by all the tings Azeem and I 'ave done. Oooooh Azeem is going to play... this should be good. Like the womenfolk here need to get more warmed up fer affection."

Ezieer gestures to the women around him that his friend is going to do something that is worth paying attention too.
