The End of the Gaming Renaissance

Did anyone here play Warhammer FRPG back in those days? It seems to be the 'bridge' between 1E DnD and later fantasy RPG games for a lot of the Europeans. I had a fairly late exposure to, actually after I had kind of quit gaming for a while due to various things in my life, but I really liked how they handled their setting, a much more historically based and darker (based on the European Renaissance specifically the Holy Roman Empire) which seemed in a subtle way to kind of bride a gap between DnD and more setting based games like Call of Cthulhu. I wish I'd been turned on to that earlier I probably would have come back to gaming earlier than I did.

I love the spells in Ars Magica I think they are the best I've ever been able to find.
