JimT - after reading those reviews I am a little aprehensive about game play and combat. I know that d20 will change things but I am skeptical. I have not found a set of modern firearms rules in d20 that really trip my trigger (pun intended). I keep hearing how The End has a different approach to these rules and I want to know what they are.

As far as the setting goes, I am intrigued but have reservations. I don't have enough information yet. I want to see this game and would love to hear from anyone who has seen the new d20 version.

fenzer- yeah, I understand that. I will let you know when I get it! I do now that the authors went to great pains to make the firearms system more deadly than the "heroic" d20 standard.

As for the setting, I have a copy of the old game-- It was a great read!
