About Ixitxachitl, I believe the 'x' are misleadings. Conquistador used the 'x' letter to transcribe a sound in inca/maya/aztec/etc. words that was rather like a "sh" in english. So, replace "Ixitxachitl" by "ee sheet tshah kitl". Easier to pronounce that way (Ixitxachitl is obviously an aztec-like name).

Edit: I had to disabe smilies... Why did vBulletin did transform my "sh" into happy faces ?

Edit again: now, it replace it by ":)". Argh ! Actually, that may be a fool masking thing, because I obtained the s h i t letters.

Funny. As a speaker of one of the more "rough" Germannic languages, I pronounce it as it is with hards g's and all. :)

Same thing with the names in LotR:FotR, they had a more original Germannic sound to them - closer to the way Scandinavians would pronounce them.....

But Tsyr and Aaron L - What about the second x in ixitxachitl? ;)

I say "ICKS-it-ZACH-it-uhl" with the 3rd syllable as in "batch" not "Bach."
"sah-HWAH-gin" with a hard g sound
and "KOO-oh-TOE-uh"

All your pronounciations are exactly like mine...and I am on a different coast than you!
