But Tsyr and Aaron L - What about the second x in ixitxachitl? ;)

I say "ICKS-it-ZACH-it-uhl" with the 3rd syllable as in "batch" not "Bach."
"sah-HWAH-gin" with a hard g sound
and "KOO-oh-TOE-uh"

I once had an English prof, from England btw, who insisted on pronouncing JRR Tolkien as TOLL-KEEN. My friends and I got him to stop by mangling every other authors' last names. What an annoying semester that was!

"TOLE-keen" is the correct pronunciation of his name (It'scloser to "TUHL-keen" really - not sure of the correct pronunciation symbols to use, but the second syllable is unaccented and definitely "keen") . How did you convince him to pronounce it?
