Can someone explain why the ENnies aren't held on site where passing gamers might notice it? That place look lovely but if no one attends what good is how nice it looks?

Every year we've had a bunch of attendees, and last year was quite the hike to get to the location. Quite frankly, I'm glad to have the awards there rather than be in some hallway somewhere (ie. where passing gamers would notice it). We've advertised it in the show bags, in the programme booklet, and at the booth, so passing gamers should notice it!

Holding it somwhere were a passing gamer would see it would probably mean putting it in the hallways somewhere. And I, for one, am glad it won't be in the halls... a ballroom is way more usefull, and includes a bar.

I think everyone who is interested will have an easy time finding the ceremony. The Ennies/GenCon awards are still growing and developing. More people each year become interested. Having it in a hallway would diminish the importance we all hope the awards will grow to have, and in fact that they already have.
