The extra action that (almost) never misses!

FireLance

Legend
Paragon path Battle Mage or Shadow Assassin Action (+4 to attack rolls when you spend an action point) with the Action Surge feat (+3 to attacks on actions gained from action points) standing within sight of a tactical warlord ally (+ 1/2 warlord's Intelligence modifier on attack rolls for allies' attacks gained from spending an action point).

Net effect: +8 or higher, if the warlord has 18 or higher Intelligence.

Good thing he can only pull this off once per milestone, eh? ;)

For even better effect, do this after the warlord has used his Lead the Attack daily on the target for a further attack roll bonus of +1 on a miss, or warlord's Intelligence modifier +1 on a hit. For an Int 16 warlord, that's +9 on a miss and +12 on a hit. For an Int 18 warlord, that's +10 on a miss and +14 on a hit.

Just don't roll a natural 1, now...

Yea, one of the most interesting thing about 4ED to me is that it really seems to promote good group synergy. Not that 3rd edition didn't, but this is kind of raising it to power level 9001. I'm sure many awesome, bizzare, and downright broken combos will be discovered within a day of release :) I've always suspected that the people who playtest games must not be very sneaky people.......

You don't think the character optimization boards might become the party optimization boards, do you?

"Yeah, and give your Fighter X it works really well when unleashed with a Cleric's Y while there's a Z in the party. You can one-shot a War Devil if you get it right!"

I can see that happening. But "broken" parties sound a little more fun like broken characters. If a party is "overpowered", you just have them face more dangerous threats. If a character is broken, you can try that, but risk killing everyone accidentally getting in the way.
Oh, and it also means no player shines compared to the other player, a common source of frustration over "brokenness".

Plus, most of these combos are interesting, but they are combos that are dependent on 3-4 factors, such as everyone being within a certain range of each other or some attacks hitting or the use of dailies in a giant ultra combo.

This was the "problem" with some of the Tactical Feats that started being introduced during 3e. The feats required some specific synergy that was often rare. It was difficult justifying spending a FEAT in the unlikely event that situation ever came available.

Now, it seems like the "power" does something cool and it also has some advantageous side-effects if there is some rare synergy.

It looks to me like this is a better way to do things.

Maybe that game is balanced with those "broken" combos in mind. Imagine that you face a monster 5 levels above you, AC is beyond your AB, suddenly you can bring it down with teamwork.
