The fallback

You'd rearrange your living room?

ROFL!

My fallback would be

A) whatever is being ran, if it was my regular group, unless I totally despised whatever it was they were running

or B) HARP, if the group didn't want to play D&D, and asked for my input. But I could just easily play Grim Tales, or other d20 variant systems.

If D&D isn't an option then pretty much roleplaying isn't an option. So: video games, preferably multiplayer games where you get to kill everyone else. Oohhh and Risk 2140 or whatever year it is. Love that game.

I do one of the following

1. I crawl into a corner, go into the fetal position, and cry

2. I play d20 Modern

3. I rearrange furniture in my living room.

If D+D is not an option, what is your next preference?

I'm probably overthinking this, but do you mean "fallback for D&D-type fantasy," or fallback as in second-choice game overall?

I know that when I got somewhat sick of 2nd Edition, I played more other things -- but D&D was always my baseline. I play other games, but I'd have to say that I don't really have a fallback for D&D. Hrm.

My Personal preference:

HERO, then D&D, then Mutants & Masterminds, then Space 1899, then RIFTS.

My game group's overall preference:

D&D, Poker, Boob club, being antisocial, flaking for no known reason

Throw WoW and EQ2 in there as well and you have my groups's overall preference.
