The FantasyCraft Cherry-pick

While Pathfinder & Conan are my go-to games for fantasy, FantasyCraft has some really great stuff in it. While I'm sure I'll get around to running a FC game somewhere down the line, at present I'm looking at certain subsystems to cherry-pick for insertion into my PF campaigns.

Leading contenders thus far:
1. Defense scores & DR (I'm not a fan of armor = AC)

2. The economy & gear system (I like the ability to customize equipment without resorting to magic items)

3. Lifestyle and its sub-stats Panache & Prudence for PC finances.

4. The Reputation rules. (I really like the contacts & holdings mechanics.)

5. Action Dice

6. Cheating Death (much better than ubiquitous Raise Dead)

Anyone else borrowing from FC for their OGL/PF games?

I have, occasionally, borrowed from Spycraft (2.0) for 3e (and other d20/OGL) house ruling. But that's not quite the same thing, I gather.

Still haven't had a chance to look at FC. Sounds pretty good though, so maybe I will.

I'm tempted to implement a Prizes = (1/2 level)+1 rule. Going along with that, it's very tempting to implement the wealth and reputation system.

Another idea I had was to create a series of templates to create scalable encounters.

I have been considering it but so far have not given it a lot of thought. I already did that with Pathfinder borrowing a couple of things from Conan. So I plan to as well just don't know what yet.

I've borrowed some from Pathfinder for my Conan game (set in Kingdoms of Kalamar) and the reverse for my Pathfinder game.

Pretty much my entire previous list is going to see use or is getting really close to seeing inclusion in my Pathfinder game. The more I dig into FC, the more impressed I am. I'll use it for its own campaign one day but the parts I'm looking to borrow will at least see a test drive at my table.
