The Five Famous People you Would Most Like to Play an RPG With

I thought it would be fun if everyone listed the five famous people they would most like to play a tabletop RPG with, and why.

My five include (in no particular order):
  • Felicia Day. She's really funny and awesome.
  • Allie Brosh. This is sort of cheating because I'm not sure if she's technically famous. She's comedian/blogger who I have a huge crush on.
  • Stephan Colbert. He's really funny, and he plays D&D.
  • Johnny Depp. Because watching him roleplay a character would be a hell of a lot of fun.
  • Niel Gaiman. He would be the best GM ever.

Dame Judi Dench. Because.
Felicia Day
Maybe Vin Diesel, but only if he was playing, not running. :)
Karl Urban
Mike Meyers
And Joss Whedon for DM (Though the game will end up being canceled....)

Legend
1) Gary Gygax - Speaks for itself.
2) Tracy Hickman - One of my biggest, if not the biggest influences on my personal style.
3) Eric Mona (He's famous, right?) - Strong pick for best writer in the business today.
4) Joss Wheldon - Strong pick for best writer in his business.
5) Brad Bird - Strong pick for best writer in his business.

Runners Up: Judi Dench, Michell Malkin, Kevin Smith

UPDATE: In the spirit of others in the thread...a second 5. Maybe pull out a horror game?

1) Alice Cooper
2) Anne Rice
3) Orson Scott Card
4) Denzel Washington
5) Gene Wolfe (GM?)

Then maybe play some Paranoia:

1) Drew Carrey
2) Brad Bird (GM?)
3) Conan O'Brien
4) Bob Newhart
5) Groucho Marx

In no particular order:

1. Felicia Day. Because, I mean, er, I don't have a nerd crush on her or anything. Not at all.
2. Vin Diesel. Because that's a sight to see.
3&4. Andy Collins and Rob Heinsoo. I'd like to see how their table plays out.
5. Francis Ford Coppola as DM. I've always suspected Directing and DMing were overlapping fields to a decent degree.

Honorable Mention: Joss Whedon. Except not as DM, because he always, always kills off the character everyone loves, dammit.

Legend
1. Scarlett Johansson, because even if the game is awful I'll enjoy the view
2. Jason Leonard, AKA the Fun Bus
3. Jeremy Irons, because even if he was awful in the D&D movie, I reckon his over-the-top portrayal would be great in a game
4. Dara O'Briain, because he's just about the most spontaneously funny person alive
5. Stephen Fry, because I reckon he'd make a great DM

Potentially Realistic List:

Completely Unrealistic List:
  • Jennifer Connelly (from the 1990s)
  • Reese Witherspoon (from the 1990s)
  • Olivia d'Abo (from the late 1980s)

I'd like to run Flashing Blades with Daniel Auteuil (Lagardère in Le Bossu), Mandy Patinkin (Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride), Johnny Depp (Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl), Sophie Marceau (Eloïse d'Artagnan in La Fille de d'Artagnan), and the ghost of Oliver Reed (Athos in The Three Musketeers, The Four Musketeers, and Return of the Musketeers) - and if Oliver Reed can't make it, Gerard Depardieu (Porthos in The Man in the Iron Mask) can pinch-hit.

Tracy Lords
Amber Benson
Iyari Limon

Let's see - a serious list:
Gary Gygax, Stephen Colbert, Joss Whedon, Jon Favreau & Kevin Smith

A not so serious list:
Jessica Alba, Scarlett Johanson, Angelia Jolie, Halle Berry and Salma Hayek. For obvious reasons. Then, I'd pinch myself & wake up...

Haven't we had this thread posted recently, like within the past year?

1. Lexa Doig. I would steal her away from her husband with my charm.
2. Wil Wheaton. I would steal him away from his wife with my charm. Wait. What?
3. PirateCat. Isn't he famous?
4. Rob Donoghue. I've gamed with him a half-dozen times at cons. He is fantastic.
5. Monte Cook. And I would make him use all of his alternate rules and run a game for us in Ptolus. I mean, he would willingly volunteer to do this. Plus sequels.
