Our first supplement “Monsters’ Lairs vol. 1 – Goblins’ Caves” is now available at RPGnow.

Here is: Description & Short Intreview
Here is: Free Demo

"Goblins' Caves" is a flourishing with green supplement about overexploited subject. 47 page long description of caves inhabited by a goblin tribe, with over 11 maps, plans and illustrations. The authors laid stress on the tactics and ecology of the monsters. The goblins use combos - traps and new mundane items for example arrows with giant fire beetles. Their hamlet is vivid: the temple pulses with cannibal ceremonies, the caves belch stench of plantation of live mushrooms and the beetles breeding. The lairs of goblins are full of traitors, degenerates, possessed by evil sprits, madmen and slaves, waiting for the characters' coming.

"Manor" is the universal filling of background medieval fantasy setting, a system basis for improvisation of DM. It consists of a description of a typical nobleman's hamlet (of knight, of the hamlet owner): plans, information - which NPC where and how lives, what amount of money is needed to bribe a guard and how much, in contact with him, you can roll on diplomacy, bluff, intimidate, disguise. You know what powers a local ruler holds and how he reacts for the crime. You can play "Manor" as the strategy game playing role of a knight, who in the next three parts of the series "Strongholds" is promoted to baron, count and duke. The economic and demographic systems are easy, tested and suitable for PHB, DMG and the realities of Middle-Ages. The magic, heroes, beasts from MM are the integral part of economy and warfare.

Here is an explanation what "Manor" is in the form of dilogue (full version at THE FORGE WEBSITE).

[imagel]http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/Anuire/Places/donzon.jpg[/imagel]- The ‘Manor’ and the "Strongholds" series, what are they about?

- The "Strongholds" series is a Masterwork DM Tool from The Forge. With this tool DM can fill in the background part of his own world or of the official world which, if completed by his own hands would be time-consuming. The typical medieval regions, which are the background for the adventures, seem to be unimportant…until the players journey there suddenly.

- Does DM have to improvise?

- He must, when there is no "Strongholds". When he has this, he may, and that bestows a sense of security. The Masterwork DM Tool provides the system with a basis to improvise. You have plans, you have informations where and how NPC makes a living, what amount of money is needed to bribe a guard and how much, by contact with him, you can roll on diplomacy, bluff, intimidate, disguise. You know what powers a local ruler holds and how he reacts to the crime.

- It is supposed that "Manor" is not a particular village.

- Like the three other parts of the "Strongholds" series, "Manor" is a universal medieval hamlet, consistent with the rules of Generating Towns from DMG…but with one huge difference. For the first time we have involved the influence of the d20 magic and creatures from the MM on the world.

Rest of a "interview" is at THE FORGE WEBSITE).
