Send the Gamers Cast to GenCon Indy! 6/22/2005
The movie is done shooting and the cast wants to share their experience and talk with you at GenCon Indy. There’s only one problem with this: Dead Gentlemen doesn’t have the funds to take ‘em. That’s why we need your help.

We are having an online donation drive to try to get the cast to GenCon Indy so that they can meet all their loyal fans and talk to you about the film in person.

I think they should sell copies of their stuff instead of asking for donations. My guess is, there's no way they'll hit six grand.

I'm surprised they'll need the help. I would have figured at the first Gamers was such a success, they would have plenty of spending money. Does anyone know how many copies the first one sold so far?

I'm also disappointed the movie won't be ready for Gen Con Indy. That was #1 on the things I wanted to buy there, especially since KenzerCo is so slow in releasing KoDT Bundle of Trouble collections now.

I bought the first video, that was my donation. I'll buy the next one when it's available.

I kind of thought that they would go the route of being guests or featured artists at Gen Con. As many gamers appreciate their work.

I asked about taking pre-orders as a way to make money and this was the answer I received:

If we had control of distribution, we could do that! but alas, we do not. which is good for us, but definitely limits our ability to do things like that at this point.

You would think this would be the way to go. Save the release for one of the big conventions. I know this is the type of item I am way more likely to impulse buy at a convention than sit down and order it.
