Wait, heck! Get that Gamers DVD/Tape!

Of course, the phone bill comes first - unless you've got cable modem... :D

Kidding aside, the first Gamers is a great 45 minute romp through the foibles and fun of a good gaming session, just like I used to play in high school and college. As Monte said, it's "the real D&D movie", and it was an awesome amateur flick. If you can see it at a con or gameday, do so. If you can buy it for posterity, so much the better.

And if and when the second "Gamers" film comes out, you'd be well served getting it, too. After all, unless they win that Ifilm contest they are in now, the only way the second one will get made is if they get the cash influx to do so. Cash, and scheduling, are the two specific things holding them up from doing it, according to their web site.

I love The Gamers with all of my heart and soul. So much so, in fact, that I actually considered flying out to Seattle to audition for the second one. But alas...logic, practicality, and the budget of a college student nixed that one for me.

Here's my suggestion.

1) Pay your phone bill.
2) Get The Gamers.
3) Use your newly payed off phone to call everyone you know and tell them to buy The Gamers.
4) ....
5) Profit!

The DVD is awesome - I thought it was a great little flick, and I can't wait to see the sequel. I laughed my ass off at some of it.

And now there is a D&D Movie sequel...

Pay your phone bill.

As soon as that's taken care of, go buy the Gamers.

It was part of my wife's ... introduction ... to RPGs. We had a showing after her first game with the group.

It's a year later, and she's still playing, so ... :D

And it has the best lines.

"Hey - aren't you forgetting something?"
"What?"
"You know - your character's deathly fear of water?"
"Oh - right! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"

Why do you need a phone? Get The Gamers. The DVD comes with four "Audio Commentary Tracks", including one by Monte Cook. Essentially you get 5 movies in one, plus other featurettes! Phones only allow unwanted callers to violate your private space. Do you leave your front door unlocked so anyone can burst in anytime they want? I think not. Get your priorities straight man!

Second time in two days the Gamers has come up in good context. And too many other mentions beforehand to count. I am going to need to pick this up to add to my collection.
