THIS is the thread for YOU!

Thread Rules:

Every poster can post a single phrase that starts with:

I HATE MY DM/PLAYER(S) BECAUSE.....

Examples:

1-I hate my DM because he always makes me ride him home every time after the session
2-I hate my player because he rolls his dice when I'm not looking.

In case you are both a player and a DM, you can post two phrases at the same time, but one has to be
about your DM and the other about your player(s)

The topic of "hatred" can be related to the game and it's rules as much as you want! Feel free to express yourselves!

I hate it when a player suddenly cancels on me the day of or night before a session... For an event he knew about long in advance! (And I'm talking weeks, even months, of advance notice.) I only have a few players, and we've only had 2 sessions of the campaign because of this crap. :<

I hated the DM who never took player actions into account.(ex: enemies are hiding in the trees. Our party is reasonably expecting an ambush, so we specifically look out for ambushers in the trees. Dm doesn't even bother to give a Perception DC. He doesn't want us to see them, so not even our Ranger with amazing perception who rolled in the upper teens saw them coming.)

I hated the player who always had to strip the dungeon bare. Every item of any possible worth was put on a cart and taken back into town. He once tried to take soiled orc underwear back, to sell as rags.

I hated the player who had to search every corpse, inside and out. Literally just cutting open humanoid corpses to check if they had swallowed any gold or magic items lately.

I use past tense, because for obvious reasons, I don't play with this guy anymore.

I hate players who only know to "roleplay" (well...the term is used lightly here) macho super heroes full of hollywood one-liners.

I hate DMs who haven't got the b*lls to improvise...as well as those who are not "descriptive" enough

Yeah, riding the DM home kinda sucks.


I hate players who do not post in my PbP games. You don't post, you don't exist.
I hate players who try to tweak every advantage out of the rules, however illogical.

I have DMs who really limit the books allowed in their games. If they do not own the book, fine, but just artificially limiting strikes me wrong.
