The "HATE" Thread

If your character is nothing more than his equipment, his "build", and his "DPS", I. DON'T. CARE.

I feel the same way.

I hate when people create threads asking others to post about their characters most memorable moment, and 95% of those stories consist of nothing more than, "The DM threw an encounter at us and I killed it." Boring.

A "kill" story is sometimes interesting when there is a unique story for how the character killed it. But just bragging about how you fought and killed something doesn't sound like much of a memorable moment to me since those moments are expected to happen to everyone when you play D&D.

Hearing about the funny, creative, or exciting things your PC did that had nothing to do with fighting something is more fun to hear about. It can also be inspirational.

i hate when you enter in a multinational dungeon!!!
first door, a couple of orcs
second door, some golems
third door, a giant
then some old forsaken shadows
and later some kind of human freak wizard, master of all this zoo

give me a break!
this is not a dungeon, it's a full ecosystem!
