The Heretic of Wyre

Re: Meanwhile...

Mustering her will, the Cambion reached down and sank her hands into the floor at the base of the cabinet. Blood, warm and vital, embraced her forearms. She smiled grimly and groped for a moment before her fist closed around a handle. Tugging hard, she pulled a small iron case up through the liquid floor, dragging blood with it which splashed over her. The surface ebbed strangely for a while, before resuming its pseudo-solid state.

Great writing! I really liked the idea of a living cabinet. Consider it stolen!

Awesome

So much coolness lately:

Mostin - Whips Feezuu and then finishes her WITH HIS RAPIER! How cool is that for a Wizard?

Nym - Total stroke of player genius with the sword of chaos. Man, that holy war's a-brewin'.

The description of Feezuu's blood palace. Damn.

Best. D&D campaign. Ever.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful story.

I have no idea how many times I've said it, but it deserves being said.

You've said it quite a lot, but I don't think anyone can praise this Story Hour enough. It's fantastic.

Jarval joins Horacio in singing Sepulchrave's praises.

Note to self: Make more notes to self in case Troubleshooter #2 has to fill in for #1.

I love how Sepulchrave allows the NPCs and PCs to be imperfect.

Feezuu makes some small misteps that cause her real problems.

Mulissu has some notable gaps in the spell repetoire.

Ortwin gets his &*% handed to him by the goblin, then Mulissu's daughter. Sepulchrave could have severely punished Ortwin for his misteps. (A lot of DMs let the game fall into that us vs. them mindset where mistakes must be punished.) No, he just goes with the flow and lets mistakes be motivators for interesting twists.

My compliments on your outstanding writing: truly wondrous! Your skills are worthy of commercial publication, and better than much of what already passes as such! My further compliments to your players for their engaging portrayal of such interesting, diverse, complex characters full of life! And last, but certainly not least, my compliments to you all as a group, for combining your talents to produce such a marvelous story!

Huzzah!

And still more praise.

I don't know about anyone else, but I'd give an eyetooth to be a fly on the wall at one of these gaming sessions. If they're half as entertaining to play as they are to read, Sepulchrave could sell tickets.
