Magnus Burn

Here is Magnus as he exists now, just picked up 6th level last session.

Magnus Burn - Wizard - 6, Str 10, Dex 14, Con 10, Int 17(16 +1, 4th lvl), Wis 12, Cha 12, HP 19, AC 15 (Ring of Pro +1, Bracers +1, Amulet Nat Arm +1, Dex +2), Fort +3, Ref+6, Will +7 (Cloak of Resistance +1), BAB +3, Light Crossbow +1 (+6 to hit/1d8+1 damage), Several Wands and Scrolls(put to great use). Personality: Started off as a scared kid, grown quickily into a young man hardened by battle. Sometimes his boyishiness comes out, especially when Wisdom Drained, but other times he is a cold sadist and has no qualms about torturing to protect others.

Motega the Cannibalistic Rornman

Motega the Rorn ranger.

he is also currently 6th level at Ranger3/Rogue3 Stats are Str 14, Dex 14, Con 12, Int 13, Wis 14, Cha 10. Search, Spot, Listen, Survival, Hide, and Move Silently are maxed out with ranks spread around in Use Rope, Ride, Tumble, Climb, Balance, Jump, Knowledge Nature, Geography, Dungeoneering, Sense Motive, Handle Animal, and Heal.

Feats are Improved Initiative, Dodge, Self Sufficient, Mobility, Rapid Shot, Endurance, and Spring Attack (In the Valus you can take a heritage level that locks a human to a favored class but gives you a bonus feat--in my case Rorn's favored class is barbarian and the feat is Improved Initiative) Favored enemies at this point are humans.

He is the party mule at this point with a haversack full of the party gear and has magical weapons (longsword and mighty composite longbow), magical studded leather, ring of protection, cloak of resistance (alll +1) He also has a pair of boots that have a Move Silently bonus of +2.

Motega is the tracker/scout of the group. He is smaller and slighter than the rest of the party and is a little feral. He does not say much (In the Valus the racial slur for Rorn is 'no-byes'). He is an atheist but has a strong code of honor and deep tribal beliefs. He takes a 'no nonsense' approach to things and yes, he is a cannibal-though he does not see what is wrong with this.

Oh and for some reason in combat, my rolls are pathetic until a party member (or two...or three..) drops and then its just the opposite. You will see very soon an example of this.

Fitz, Priest of Ceria

In the meantime, the missing 4th will speak - Fitz is a cleric of Ceria with the harvest personality which is the classic speak softly but carry a big stick (in this case a two handed scythe). Fitz is the elder of the party being in his mid-20's and has a bit more patience than young boom boom, the cannabal, or he who seems to be confused about who or what he is. During combat he will typically analyze the situation and provide direct melee support or Ceria's blessings depending upon the groups needs. In a way, Fitz is an outcast from his lands (comes from the lands of horses but has little skill in riding) in search for greater meaning and therefore his disposition is to have compassion for the common man and has a general dislike of nobility (that which you've already seen in the SH and yet there is more to come). Maybe I should clarify that last statment, his dislike of nobility isn't an outright hatred as it is a dislike in the nobility's treatment of commoners. Indeed, Fitz currently has 9 ranks in diplomacy, 5 ranks in knowledge nobility, and for the most part is the party's spokesmen if he can get the young guns to keep their trap shut. Oh, and he's a bit scatterbrained about his money as wealth has no real meaning to him and just prefers to have the party purchase his equipment when it's appropriate. I think another defining characteristic and indeed flavor of the Valus world is that he is not above going into grey areas of actions as long as he believes that the party is helping to further the good of a stronger humanity for Ceria's benefit.

To give you an idea - the current story hour is the characters of about 2nd level. Currently Fitz is at the 6th level. He has STR 12, DEX 8, CON 14, INT 14, WIS 14, CHA 15. He has +1 full plate, a +1 scythe and a few "happy sticks" in his back pocket for when the crap hits the fan. He is also showing a particular delight in vanquishing the undead by rolling 20's on his turning checks and 5/6's (2d6+8) on his damage dice which is augmented by the improved turning and extra turning feats.
