The Hulk trailer

Yeah I know...

In the DVD commentary of CTHD Ang Lee says that the film is a remake of Sense and Sensibility with all the pithy arguments replaced with martial arts fights :D

I'm totally psyched to see this movie...

As far as how the CGI looks. Maybe they're not quite done cleaning it up. Wait to see the full movie, hopefully it'll look better.

I'm looking forward to this movie as well. My brother used to read me his Incredible Hulk comics when I was little, and we used to watch the TV show together (of course, I'd hide behind the couch or my dad's armchair during the opening sequence...the tense music in the beginning scared me...) I even met Lou Ferrigno at a Sci-Fi con a few years ago. (The guy is a hulk!!)

I think it's too early to judge the movie based on this snippet that we've seen. Think of all the trailers you've seen where the parts we're shown aren't even in the movie. I think they probably have more cleaning up to do before it's release.

And as far as Spider-Man goes, he's supposed to move more fluidly than a normal person. He's meant to be flexible and unbelievable when he moves. I didn't have a problem with the CGI in that movie, though some of my friends did. I loved every minute of that flick, and I'm hoping I'll feel the same about The Hulk. :)

I didn't mind how he moved (they did go overboard in a place or two but...), but some of the CG just didn't look that good.

Any news on the storyline? Is it how it all happened, or are we starting mid Hulk? I hope they do a different approach than Spidey, I think I was the only person who thought it stunk. In all fairness I am not a Spiderman freak, but I don't think the average fan was either. I'll see Hulk, but then again, I saw The Hot Chick. I mean, what does that say about me? (BTW, Don't see The Hot Chick)

X-men they chose the best of the series elements to tell a story (Magneto, the senate crack down on mutants, and the brotherhood). Spiderman they didn't, yet (probably Gwen Stacey death), Daredevil the did (Electra saga), and Hulk I don't know, though I doubt they can do the Grey Hulk saga this early. Probably have to go the route of spiderman - his origin and intro to one major villan.

How good the FX does not matter that much as rather what the FX are being used for (Hulk swinging tanks, which is a classic).

Kinda like how horribly bad the FX were in the Mummy movies, but used exceptionally. Same goes for Eight Legged Freaks.

For the reverse (good FX used badly), take Godzilla (the US scandal-of-a-film) as an example. Godzilla didn't to anything really that exciting in all the movie (just kinda ran around and screamed) but it's incredibly good FX.

I like it!

Looks fun, but with serious bits that are done well. What's the name of the guy with the beard that was in the Blade movies, amongst others? He's a familiar face that I can't place.
