The Hulk Trailer

Yeah I caught the trailer when I went to see X2, my wife thinks it looks stupid. "The Hulk can fly now?" he was jumping but it might as well have been flying. He looked totally CGI'ed and plastic looking, very disappointing.

I agree, the preview looked more like a video game than a movie. I thought X2 did an excellent job of meshing it (much better than X1) but the Hulk looked like a giant step backwards. I'll take Lou Ferrigno in green makeup over that any day.

Well I'm of the opposite opinion, I thought the CGI was outstanding. It was definately top notch. I think its rather easy for people to discount a films CGI when they don't understand the limits of the technology. When you have a character that is completely CGI, it will not be 100% real looking. Not yet anyway, the technology still has a ways to go before a complete CGI character will be 100% realistic looking.

I thought it looked pretty good, actually. Seems the story is in place, and the effects look fine. He moves very smoothly, but then, he's the Hulk. The Hulk is fast as well as strong...:D

Well, then it's not the Hulk an just a guy in body paint. Whilst he still does look a bit cartoony, it's certainly no worse than other films with CG characters like the SW Prequels IMO.

The Hulk can jump over two miles at a time, sounds pretty close to flying to me.

I am looking forward to the movie. I bought the book and read it. A few liberties with the original story, but nothing too upsetting. I am definitely interested. Cartoony is better than green paint, though I still old the old series.

Also, of note, Lou Ferigno has a cameo in the movie.

I can't decide on the Hulk. I think the guy in green makeup might have worked better for believability and immersion into the story, but I will have to see it to really make a judgement. Right now, I am not in the mood to rush out and see it.
