One of the players in the Spycraft game I run is a Wheelman/Snoop. I write my own adventures geared toward the player's stengths... and everytime I have a chase scene written in he misses that week (in a former D&D campaign he aslo had the knack for missing the one week when we needed the obscure hand-out & the DM had given him the only copy).
Our group has a sense of humor about it... but it's a little frusterating at times.
Oh, and I think that whoever is hosting the game should be responsible for contacting others with game-schedual related info. My group games at my home & even when I'm not running the game I send out an e-mail to let people know what's going on for the week & what munchies I have or need. It takes about three minutes of my time & makes everyone else's life much easier... but I'm also an orginizational freak and compulsively alphabetize things, so maybe this wouldn't work for everyone!
