I see the "inner demons" as much more dangerous and frightening. If you look at everything from a spiritual perspective they are more dangerous in the whole scheme of things. From a religous perspective(in my case Christian) why should one fear death if heaven awaits? The Bible even says, "Do not fear what can destroy the body, but what destroys the spirit."

I wouldn't want to face the inner, symbolic demons... at least with the physical ones, they possibly can be defeated, as long as you have a big enough gun. :)

I voted for the inner demons because with a physical being, even if you have no chance to win, once its over its over. Death probably sucks (wouldn't know, never been there) but it beats going insane, killing a a bunch of children or your parents or something, and then dying.

Oh yeah, and with a monster you at least get the chance for a pithy one-liner before it drags you into its tentacled maw.

Well, from a Christian perspective neither demon really has any power because faith in Christ's authority rebukes them both. The true nastiness of real-life demons (I'm a Christian as well) is that they try to get YOU to do the bad stuff, instead of directly causing mayhem themselves. If they succeed, there's the damage to deal with but also guilt, shame, and so on.

And yes, a Christian should not fear death, but who wants to get ripped apart or eaten alive? Heaven I can deal with, its the being chewed up and digested that I'd rather do without. :D

Ultimately, I would concede that demons can cause far more damage through deceptive influence than straight physical carnage, but think about it this way; what is more dangerous to the peace and harmony of the world as we know it, Osama bin Laden or a grizzly bear? Bin Laden of course. Now, which would you rather be locked in a cage with? Bin Laden is ultimately a greater threat in general, but I'll take that scrawny wacko over 1,000 pounds of teeth and claws anyday....

Id rather die a quick death at the hands of a Tyranid than go slowly mad at the same time Im being forced to hack up my family by some insiduous Cthulhu type horror.

Losing your body is one thing, cuz then maybe theres a soul. But losing your mind, if there is a soul, will probably wreck everything!

I am altering the deal. Pray I do not alter it further.

Oh mmm.. Sorry. It's one of those "figure of speach" things. I did also say: "The kind that is focused on your mind rather than your body" and more important: "Chance of survival here is bigger than with choise B.. Physically that is".:)
