"No more fires, huh?," Miranna rasped. "How about lightning instead?" As she spoke, she twirled her sword, and crackling energy ran along the blade. Despite her bravado, her blade glanced harmlessly off the kobold's shield, and the lightning winked out. She stepped carefully away, hoping the creatures would be foolish enough to follow...

>Minor action: (after kobolds shift in reaction), Use Aegis of assault to Mark either brown or red scale- I'm guessing one of them will shift into my old square at T 8, and if that happens I'll mark the one that DOESN'T move there (since they won't be able to attack me in melee without actually moving to follow, and maybe drawing some OAs).

Seeing an opening to use one of the more powerful prayers in his arsenal Brenwar steps so that he can reach two of the kobolds. Quickly intoning the holy words he unleashes a vicious overhand with his now glowing hammer.

Patronis keeping with his marked prey moves (to W6) quickly back a few steps and takes aim on his red scaled objective and lets fly an eldritch blast! "DIE by a warlocks hands descendant of dragons!"

, i think it maxes the curse damage too, but im not 100% on that[/sblock][sblock=crits]Yep, no crit threat roll and any damage maxes unless it's damage you would only get from critting and the curse was going to do damage, crit or no. So grats on the crit! that's 16 points!
Also if you killed him you could spend your minor cursing another one, you can have any number of enemies cursed at a time, you just can't curse the same target as another warlock[/sblock]

Miranna fails to injure either of the kobolds as they shelter their bodies behind the scale shields. As she steps back the southern shadowscale scuttles along behind her, menacing her with its short sword.
Brenwars glowing blade stabs deep into the beasts lung, and it coughs blood from its fanged mouth as it slides off the blade. Managing to keep it's feet Patronis moves forward and reduces its face to a bleached white skull before it can move further, the flesh crisping instantly as he bathes it with infernal flame.
As the dead shadowscale crumbles to the ground, Brenwar turns to menace the kobold fighting Mr. Bricks just as Patronis spits a curse weakening the kobolds resistance to his demon-born powers.

Taking advantage of Shayla's distraction Mr. Bricks' dagger sinks deep into the kobold's flesh. Trusting the others to finish it off (should that be necessary) Mr Bricks slips through the melee to face the other dragonshield "You cut me boy..."
